Our Programs
Our programs are open to members who identify as either man or woman, trans, and non-binary. Most of our programs are designed for members aged 18 and over. All programs are designed to include a goal of the organization: education, advocacy, and community.
Cultivating Resilience Empowerment and Therapeutic Expression (CREATE)
Goal: Education & Community
Participants in the CREATE program alternate between diverse healing modalities to promote resilience and emotional well-being. Grounded in the principles of art therapy, trauma-informed yoga, meditation services, and dance therapy, this program seeks to provide culturally competent and youth-focused interventions to reduce trauma and enhance emotional well-being.
Young Yogis
Goal: Education & Community
Young Yogis is a version of our Yoga program but for school-aged kids. Yoga is known to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children (ages 6 to 12). Yoga is also known to improve balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity in children. Yoga and mindfulness offer psychological benefits for children as well. A growing body of research has already shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior, and can reduce anxiety and stress in children. We aim to provide children this outlet in comfortable spaces they are familiar with, making yoga an example of self-care at a young age, and providing children to fully reach their potential mentally and physically.

Peer Support
Goal: Education, Advocacy, Community
Peer support workers are people who have been successful in the recovery process and help others experiencing similar situations. Through shared understanding, respect, and mutual empowerment, peer support workers help people become and stay engaged in the recovery process and reduce the likelihood of relapse. Peer support services can effectively extend the reach of treatment beyond the clinical setting into the everyday environment of those seeking a successful, sustained recovery process.

Trauma-Informed Yoga
Goal: Education, Advocacy, Community
Trauma-informed yoga is based on a particular understanding of trauma, one that can emphasize its impact on the entire mind-body system, as opposed to particular mental states which can be viewed in isolation from the physical body. “Trauma,” as Bessel van der Kolk explains, “is not just an event that took place sometime in the past; it is also the imprint left by that experience on mind, brain, and body.”
The trauma-informed yoga class at Project S.A.V.E is a 10-week yoga program that will teach members an approach in a safe, supportive space in which students can learn emotional regulation skills through connection with the breath and increased body awareness.
