Our Mission

Project S.A.V.E's mission is to provide people recovering from trauma support as well as an open space to heal. We educate and advocate, working to combat sexual and intimate partner violence wherever it lies. Because everyone is unique, we believe in treatments tailored to individuals’ needs.

Our Impact

Project S.A.V.E was founded in 2016 as a community-focused organization dedicated to providing accessible services in the areas of sexual and intimate partner violence and mental health.

Project S.A.V.E is committed to making services accessible to the community. Many services are available free of charge for eligible participants, with sliding scale options available for individuals who are low-income, uninsured, or underinsured. For individuals seeking services outside of our scope or requiring insurance-based therapy, we maintain a referral network of trusted trauma-informed providers and community partners to support continued care and connection.

At Project S.A.V.E, we operate within our three core values: Education, Advocacy, and Community. Our goal is to help individuals process and heal from trauma in a safe, supportive environment. You are never alone here, there is always someone available to listen, guide, and offer resources.

Our Offerings

Project S.A.V.E uses a person-centered, choice-based approach that honors the unique identities, experiences, and needs of each individual. We believe healing is not one-size-fits-all, and participants are encouraged to engage in the programs, services, and supports that best fit their goals and journey.

Each service incorporates each of our organization's core values.

Healing Connections: Young Yogis

Core Value: Education & Community

Young Yogis is a version of our Yoga program for school-aged kids. Yoga is known to improve physical and mental health in school-age children (ages 6 to 12). It is also known to improve balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity in children. Yoga and mindfulness offer psychological benefits for children as well.

Clinical & Peer Support Services: Peer Support & Wellness Navigation

Core Value: Community & Advocacy

Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) are individuals with lived experience who use their personal recovery journey to support others facing similar challenges. Through shared understanding, empathy, respect, and mutual empowerment, CPS staff help individuals build hope, develop coping skills, stay engaged in services and supports, and work toward their personal wellness and recovery goals.

Healing Arts: Trauma-Informed Yoga

Core Value: Education, Advocacy, & Community

Trauma-informed yoga is based on a particular understanding of trauma, one that can emphasize its impact on the entire mind-body system, as opposed to particular mental states which can be viewed in isolation from the physical body.

Safe Haven: IPV Survivor Advocacy & Support Services

Core Value: Education, Advocacy & Community

Safe Haven is Project S.A.V.E’s intimate partner violence (IPV) support program focused on providing trauma-informed advocacy, emotional support, resource connection, and wellness navigation for individuals impacted by relationship violence and trauma. Through a person-centered approach, participants are connected to supportive services, community resources, and healing-centered support designed to promote safety, empowerment, and long-term wellness.

“People don’t think it’s prevalent, but it happens a lot. It’s not just for one gender. It’s not just to one age group,”

Project S.A.V.E stands to be an organization that can serve multiple clients with different requests and approaches to treatment. Project S.A.V.E currently acts as an accessible service providing service with input and choice from the member. Ensuring our members are first, we encourage them to make choices that will support them with their journey.
